Tarek Rahman, the acting chairman of the BNP, urged all political parties to collaborate in building the nation collectively. A major guest speech was requested at the awards ceremony for the winning team of the 2024 cricket tournament, which is being hosted by the Arafat Rahman Coco Memorial Trust this Sunday evening. He discussed a proactive strategy aimed at overhauling the school’s syllabus to enhance sports in Bangladesh, with the goal of elevating athletic performance to an international standard, particularly across all levels in Bengal.
Tarek Rahman made a statement regarding Arafat Rahman. Coco attended the prestigious award ceremony, presided over by Sheikh Nasser, the President of the UK, with General Secretary Serafraj Surfur delivering a notable performance. In this context, I would liken Coco to a prominent brother figure. What I truly needed was embodied in my younger brother, Coco, rather than in any sense of pride. Coco was recognised as a sportsman and an athlete. I participated in the political arena. Coco, from his position, has made efforts to contribute to the sports system in Bengal, as noted by political activists.
Making every effort to maximise productivity. What actions were taken, and what is the extent of involvement from those who participated in Bangladesh? There are players aware of the situation. There is a consensus that people often discuss what lies ahead. Coco has made a significant contribution to the sports landscape in Bangladesh. As the older brother, I take great pride in that achievement. As a political activist, my perspective on the situation diverges significantly. The intersection of political activism and governance reveals numerous challenges. In the realm of sports, education, employment, and healthcare, citizens face a variety of pressing issues that demand attention and action from their leaders.
In a recent statement regarding the future of sports in Bangladesh, he expressed his vision for reforming the sector. He emphasised that if the BNP government is established with the backing of the Bangladeshi populace, it could pave the way for nurturing talent from the grassroots level, particularly among school-aged children, to develop a new generation of athletes. Recruit athletes for various sports competitions.
Tarek Rahaman stated that there will be a different approach to addressing Bangladesh’s primary and secondary education system. Children will engage in reading as well as participate in play activities. The movement of a man facilitates the natural flow of blood throughout the body. Increased oxygen supply to the brain correlates with enhanced blood flow. Subsequently, his cognitive abilities are expected to expand. Research indicates that as children engage more in sports, there is a corresponding rise in their reading habits. The sport requires increased participation if the reading improves.
The acting chairman remarked that children across the globe are deprived of adequate sports facilities. In Vaka, local officials are advocating for the establishment of green parks situated between each pair of wards. This initiative aims to enhance the availability of green spaces for children’s sports activities. London’s parks serve as a notable example in this context. In various locations across London, one can find parks that are neatly arranged with green plants bordering them. There is a pressing need for the establishment of parks within urban areas across the nation.
In discussing the initiative to revise the school syllabus to foster a more dynamic learning environment for children, he noted that the syllabus encompasses a total of 100 components across various subjects. The current designation of No. 20 will be downgraded to number 60 moving forward. Five sports issues are set to become mandatory for the number 20. A student is required to select one of the five sports subjects for question number 20. Consequently, children are expected to remain active and engaged, demonstrating attentiveness and proficiency in sports. This will assist them in focusing on the reading line. In preparation for the upcoming 2026 Almpi, efforts will be made to identify and select talented players from schools across the country. The aim is to enhance the nation’s reputation. All supporting governments will prepare for those who enhance the country’s reputation. Should the BNP government come to power, it will proceed with all necessary preparations.
Citizens have faced significant challenges in their efforts to secure political rights within the nation. A substantial number of individuals have sacrificed their lives. The time has come to focus on the nation’s development. My appeal to everyone is clear: let us unite and stand together for our country. We might possess various distinctions. It is widely accepted that there should be a consensus on critical matters such as elevating the nation’s sports on the global stage, ensuring the safety of its citizens, providing employment opportunities for all, and upholding the rule of law within the country. We must unite, allowing all political parties to collaborate in the effort to advance the nation. This collective action is our expectation for a prosperous future.
The ceremony featured Aminul Hawks, a member of the BNP’s National Executive Committee and a former footballer, who was called upon in the Slave Metropolitan North. The event also included the UK BNP leader and various community guests.
