The recent action, criticized by Biden, marks the continuation of a prolonged effort by Trump, supported by Republican Party officials and their advocates in conservative media, to undermine his predecessor’s reputation.
However, this development coincides with an increasing number of Democrats recognizing that the former President seems to have been declining in recent years.
The concerns were highlighted during a challenging debate performance against Trump in the previous presidential campaign, where the then-81-year-old struggled with his words and frequently lost his train of thought.
A presidential memorandum issued Wednesday states, “In recent months, it has become increasingly apparent that former President Biden’s aides abused the power of Presidential signatures through the use of an autopen to conceal Biden’s cognitive decline.”
This conspiracy represents a significant and alarming scandal in the annals of American history.
“The American public was deliberately kept in the dark about the individuals exercising executive power, even as President Biden’s signature appeared on countless documents to implement significant policy changes.”
Biden strongly refuted the allegations.
“I want to emphasize that the decisions made during my presidency were mine.” “I made the decisions regarding the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations,” he stated in a communication distributed to AFP.
