Terrorists attempted to assault a security forces camp in the Boya region of North Waziristan district, killing four security personnel before being thwarted, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Friday.
On December 19, Khwarij, reportedly linked to the Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij, assaulted a security forces camp near Boya, North Waziristan District. This reprehensible and despicable act drew strong condemnation.
Fitna al Khawarij is a term used by authorities for terrorists linked to the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The military’s media division stated the terrorists tried to breach the perimeter security. However, their plan was quickly stopped by the troops’ vigilant and determined response.
The attackers crashed an explosives-laden car into the outer perimeter wall. This caused its collapse and significant damage to nearby civilian structures, including a mosque.
The ISPR reported that the vehicle bomb damaged nearby homes and other buildings. The blast severely injured fifteen local civilians, including children and women.
